After the storm

Hail hit? Wind damage? Don't face the claim alone.

Most homeowners have never filed a roof claim — insurance companies handle them every day. We level the field: a free inspection, photo documentation of every damaged spot, and someone in your corner who speaks the adjuster's language.

  • Free post-storm inspection with photo evidence
  • Clear, honest report — if your roof is fine, we say so
  • We meet your adjuster on-site and document everything
  • Repairs or replacement done right, with warranty

We can't guarantee what your insurance company will approve — no honest roofer can. What we can do is make sure your damage is documented properly and your claim gets a fair look.

Got Denied? That's Not the Final Word.

Insurance companies deny and underpay roof claims every day. Most homeowners accept it. We don't. Melissa's team has turned more denials into approvals than any conversation worth having in Houston.

Why Claims Get Denied

  • Adjuster misses damage or marks it as "pre-existing"
  • Damage documented with vague photos — not roof-standard evidence
  • Homeowner signs off on low estimate before seeing full scope
  • No contractor present at adjuster meeting to counter misclassifications
  • Supplement request never filed after adjuster underestimates scope

How We Turn It Around

  • Re-inspect with insurance-grade photo documentation of every hit
  • Request a re-inspection or appraisal — your policy likely allows it
  • File a formal supplement for missed line items and code upgrades
  • Attend re-inspection with your adjuster on the roof — side by side
  • Escalate to appraisal or public adjuster when needed — we know both

Questions Every Homeowner Asks

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?
Storm damage claims are typically treated as weather events by most carriers — they usually don't count against you the way an at-fault claim would. Worth confirming with your agent before you file. Don't let fear of rate increases stop you from finding out what you're dealing with.
How do I know if my roof has storm damage?
Most hail and wind damage isn't visible from the ground — bruised shingles, lifted seals, and cracked mats require getting up there. If there was a storm in your area, a free inspection is the only honest way to know. Takes about 30 minutes and costs you nothing either way.
What will this cost me out of pocket?
On an approved insurance claim, your out-of-pocket cost is typically just your deductible — and we put that in writing before any work starts. Every roof is different, which is why the inspection and estimate are always free.
My claim was already denied. Is it too late?
Usually not. A denial is not always final. Most policies allow you to request a re-inspection, file an appeal, or invoke the appraisal clause — a formal process where both sides bring in independent experts and an umpire decides the outcome. We've helped homeowners reverse denials months after the original decision. The window varies by carrier and policy, so the sooner you call, the better.
My adjuster said the damage is "pre-existing" or below my deductible. What do I do?
Those are the two most common ways adjusters minimize payouts. "Pre-existing" requires documentation — if the adjuster can't point to it in writing, it shouldn't stick. "Below deductible" estimates are often deliberately conservative; a proper supplement with full photo documentation frequently changes that number. Neither determination is final until you've had someone in your corner on that roof with them.
What is the appraisal clause and when should I use it?
The appraisal clause is in most homeowner policies and gives you the right to dispute the insurance company's damage estimate. You hire an independent appraiser, they hire one, and an umpire breaks any tie. It's not litigation — it's a formal policy right. We work with experienced appraisers and know how to build the documentation package that supports your number going into that process.
Are you local, or a storm-chasing company?
Local — Greater Houston area. Storm chasers set up shop after big weather, collect deposits, and vanish before warranty claims come in. We've been here before the storm and we'll be here after it. One phone number, one team, one warranty with an address behind it.
Is a free inspection really free — no obligation?
Completely free, no strings attached. We inspect the roof, tell you exactly what we find, and you decide what to do with that information. If your roof is fine, we'll tell you that too. No pressure — that's not a sales line, it's how a veteran-owned company operates.
